Dear Thrive Market Community,
As most of you know, November was a devastating month here in California. First the Woolsey fire, just 20 miles north of us here in Los Angeles. Then the even larger Camp Fire in Northern California, which destroyed nearly 14,000 homes, killed 88 people, and left hundreds of others missing. I want to extend our sincere condolences to any of you who suffered loss during this time.
I also want to thank our community—all of you—for stepping up in so many ways to support us, each other, and families displaced over the last several weeks. Within hours of the news, our Member Services and Fulfillment teams were rerouting orders for members forced to leave their homes, while our Social Media team was using Instagram and Facebook to connect directly with members and non-members alike to offer aid.
Thanks to the outpouring of support and donations from Thrive Market members across the country, we have already been able to donate:
- Over $30,000 of free groceries directly to displaced families
- $10,000 toward temporary shelters for 25 families
- $3,000 of diapers to the Community Housing Improvement Program in Chico, CA
The need is ongoing, so for the entire month of December, 100% of your donations at checkout will go toward providing groceries for victims of the fires. Please read some of the testimonials below to see how much your donations matter!
On top of that, for the next two days (Dec. 4-5), we’ll be matching every purchase of a Thrive Market Collection product with a donation of a product of the same value (focused on the most needed items).
It’s at times like these that I find myself feeling most grateful to be part of a company and community that is so committed to doing good.
In gratitude,
Nick Green
